International Womens Day

International Women’s day (March 8th) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. Partners involved all represent a network in Breda that want to connect and empower each other.

International Women’s Day Breda was celebrated for the first-time om March the 8th 2021, yet the global campaign theme continues all year long to encourage action. A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. Let’s all choose to challenge and celebrates women’s’ achievements. Raise awareness against bias. Choose to make an impact, with large or small outcomes. Change is progress, either way. 

IWD’22Breda will be a live event with keynote speakers whom are making a difference in their own area of expertise while Breaking the Bias. By participating in these diverse interactive workshops, you are able to make a difference and support IWD’22Breda. You are able to participate in two workshops of the below mentioned speakers. Afterwards there will be a network reception. 

Line up speakers: 

·        Dr. Jeanne Martens, Researcher Failure and Recovery and Female Entrepreneurship at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences;  Personal sponsorship; power of networking  
·        Dr. Fariba Babei, Rapid Technology Lead EMEA at Cargill; Cargill, Career & culture 
·        Everth Flores, CEO Ericsson; 5G and internet of things, how technology contributes to a better world  
·        Jitske Habekotté visual arts department lead of master game technology BUAS; Lifetime in games, movement for ethical game production

The new date will be September 22nd, 2022, 16.00-19.30 at the Rooi Pannen in Breda 

Coincidentally, this day is also labelled as Businesswomen’s Day on September 22
